Proving that the "malaise era"/"Great Brougham Epoch" produced some beautiful cars.

There is two Torino's on campus one 1971 GT and a 1973 Q-Code like mine but white with a black vinyl top
![]() 08/31/2014 at 22:44 |
|
ew vinyl.
![]() 08/31/2014 at 22:46 |
|
It looks ok honestly
![]() 08/31/2014 at 22:50 |
|
Oh, well you still don't see them everyday! What is it like daily driving a classic? If you drive it often at least.
![]() 08/31/2014 at 22:52 |
|
it's what's underneath the vinyl that makes me hate it. Why couldn't they (i.e. Everyone) just paint the roofs black?
![]() 08/31/2014 at 23:06 |

I love it.

This stripe job is awesome. The first time I saw it was on a blue Ranchero GT and I think it look amazing.
Edit: it's not actually the same on a Ranchero

you should have some one photoshop this building out of this shot. Or do it yourself, if you have the tools required.

Bad fucking Ass! My favorite picture is the third from the bottom, just because I love that angle of the car. Fast backs make me drool. Tell me, as a student, do you ever feel like the Torino is "too much car for you?" As in, too big, and too much gas? I have a Mercury Cougar which I love to death, but am thinking about upgrading to a Mercury Cyclone, which is the Torino's cousin.

Your college is an Italian restaurant in a strip mall?

An old toothbrush works just fine. I keep an old electric toothbrush in my cleaning/waxing supplies just for that purpose and use it around emblems, cracks and crevices wherever it is needed. Electric is not necessary, but it vibrates it out much quicker.
![]() 08/31/2014 at 23:52 |
|
I'm a few blocks from it yes
![]() 08/31/2014 at 23:53 |
|
Ya but that wax is god knows how old thats not from me
![]() 09/01/2014 at 00:06 |
|
Just soften it up with some fresh wax first if that's an issue. I personally have never had any wax that would resist just a bit of scrubbing with an old toothbrush.

Cool. I had a '74 at one time and a '68 hardtop fairly recently.
I sold the '68 to concentrate on the merc I have as a username
